We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standard of excellence so that our patients receive the quality of dental care they deserve. Dr. Monroe and his team provide comprehensive care for restorative and cosmetic treatments, giving our patients optimal dental health.
Gaining our patients’ trust is of the utmost importance to us. We want our patients to be confident and comfortable with their dental treatment plans, and we strive to provide the most ethical recommendations.
One of our main goals for our patients is routine preventative care. Dr. Monroe provides a comprehensive oral exam at each dental checkup. This allows him to do oral health screenings along with oral cancer screenings. Taking care of your oral health is taking care of your overall health.
Here at Monroe Family Dentistry, we know accidents can and will happen. We make ourselves available to take care of your dental emergencies. Even if it is a night or weekend, we are here to answer your questions and get you seen as soon as we are open.

Dr. Michael Monroe
Dentist
Dr. Michael Monroe is a 2003 graduate of Mississippi State University and a 2012 graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. He has extensive experience in restorative dentistry, cosmetics, implant dentistry, root canals, Botox, and loves working with patients of all ages. Dr. Monroe regularly attends additional training to provide the most up-to-date and highest quality dental services.
Dr. Monroe strives to provide quality dental care to his patients. He looks at each day as a way to not only improve the dental health of his patients but also change the lives of some. There is nothing more rewarding to him than to have a patient that has fear of coming to see him and him be able to change their whole perspective of dental health. Giving his patients the confidence and the smile they desire is the most rewarding thing he can ask for.
Michael enjoys spending time with his wife Leigh and their two children, Connor and Ann Tucker. In his spare time, you can find him on the golf course. He is a board member for Regional Rehab, a member of BNI, the Community Development Foundation, and attends the Orchard. He is also a volunteer at The Tree of Life Free Clinic. Michael was chosen at a Top 40 under 40 two years in a row.
Leigh is the wife of Dr. Monroe. She graduated from University of Mississippi with a Bachelors of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences. Leigh serves on the board for Rankin Elementary’s PTO, Thomas Street Elementary’s PTO, Regional Rehab Center, and AEE. She also serves on the Special Education Advisory Panel for the Mississippi Department of Education, Regional Rehab Center Kentucky Derby committee, is a member of the Tupelo Junior Garden Club, and volunteers for various other organizations in our community. Leigh was the 2022 Thomas Street Elementary Parent of the Year and the 2022 Tupelo Public School District Parent of the Year.
She loves spending quality time with Michael and their two children, Connor and Ann Tucker. In her spare time she enjoys painting, cooking and trips to the lake and beach. She and her family attend the Orchard.
Shonda is from Saltillo and has been married to her husband, Gene for 29 years. They have two children, Jarrett (Zaniah) and Ashley(David) and five grandchildren, Jetsen, Colt, Timothy, Jaycee and Jax.
Shonda has been in different areas of the dental field since 1997. She has found that she holds the elderly patients close to her heart, probably because they remind her of her grandmother who raised her.
Two of her favorite things to do are road-trips and cruises with Gene. She also enjoys traveling to watch Jarrett race and home improvement projects. She loves spending any free time with her dog, Hana Sophia.
She is a believer and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Guntown and enjoys visiting small area churches.
Dana is from Baldwyn, Ms and lives in Guntown, Ms. She has 3 children, Christian, Sam and Mollie Grace. She has a granddaughter, Annsley McKay. She loves spending time with her family and friends. She and her family are members of First Baptist Church in Baldwyn.
Jessica resides in the Baldwyn/Pratts area with her husband, Billy of 14 years and two daughters, Laura Grace and Molly Kate. She is a 2006 graduate of NEMCC and has been practicing dental hygiene for 14 years. She loves working with children and has been working with Dr. Monroe for 5 years. She and her family are members of East Mt. Zion Baptist Church and are active with their youth group. Jessica loves being outdoors, camping, swimming, riding bikes, 4 wheelers, scrapbooking & shopping.
Loren resides in her hometown of New Albany with her husband, Brandon, and their three children (Hadley, Embry & Wiley). Loren enjoys spending time with her family and being active in her church choir and orchestra. As a Registered Dental Hygienist with 14 years experience, Loren enjoys establishing relationships with her patients and creating beautiful, healthy smiles. She looks forward to seeing you in our office!
Carley is from Okolona, MS. She is a graduate of Nettleton High school & Itawamba community college. She finished the dental assistant program in December of 2022. She has been working for Dr. Monroe since May of 2023. In her free time, you will find her spending time with her dachshund Goose, and her friends & family. She attends Boones Chapel Methodist church. Carley looks forward to seeing each patient leave with a smile!
Darrian is from Fulton, MS (Dorsey). She attended IAHS and ICC. She completed the dental assisting program in 2014 and has been in the field since. She has worked alongside Dr. Monroe since April of 2018. Her world revolves around her one son, Gatlin. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and playing tennis. What she loves most about her job is watching the boost in patients confidence when they look in the mirror and see their new smile!
